Life as I see it

It isn’t dark, just blue;
Color of the ocean with ripples on it
Not bright, yet burning.

Ashes and smoke aren’t grey anymore
Everything seems pale instead
Nothing at its natural order.

I look for shades of green
But vines tied in chains around me
Are trying to suffocate me –
Blue, green, yellow
Anything might have it been.

Instead things turn red,
Grip is tighter,
Life chokes as
Ears bleed, eyes bleed.

Nothing is at its natural order

It isn’t dark, just blue.
